1. Organize Your Ideas
On my computer I created a wedding folder. In this folder I created individual folders where I saved photos of the ideas that I liked best. If you don't want to take up space on your hard drive, purchase a flash drive (4 GB should be fine). Now if I find an inspirational photo, I know exactly where to find it. It did take me a few hours to look through my Pinterest page and save each photo onto my desktop, but in the end it's worth it. It is so much easier to share my ideas with friends and family. Here are the folders I created:
- Bridal Party
- Decorations (With subfolders of ceremony and reception, each with subfolders of their own)
- Engagement Photo Shot List
- Flowers
- Invitations
- Makeup
- Shoes
- Hair
- Wedding Day Shot List
- Wedding Cake
- Wedding Dress
For the things I pin that lead to helpful links, I leave them alone on my board and write notes about them in my binder. "Binder?," you ask? Keep reading!
2. Create a Wedding Binder
If you don't care for this layout, there are plenty of other free options out there. This one is my favorite, so thank you Gloria! This book will be your guide, so don't hesitate to make it your own. Create a beautiful cover, purchase some dividers for $.99 at Walmart. Print the tabs in different colors. Here are some other websites to check out for more free templates:
